An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in middle school education in Chicago, IL. This contract position spans the full academic school year and focuses on supporting students with diverse learning needs in a middle school environment.

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Adapt lessons and instructional materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate with general education staff, parents, and administrators to foster an inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Support social and emotional development alongside academic growth

• Valid Special Education teaching certification/license
• Experience working with middle school students in special education settings
• Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create engaging, differentiated lesson plans
