DSHS Maple Lane Cook 2

Join our team as a Cook 2 at our new behavioral health treatment campus at Maple Lane in Grand Mound, Washington state. Multiple full-time and on-call shifts are available.

• Create high-quality meals in large-scale food preparation kitchen
• Assist in food service operations as designated by the supervisor and manager
• Prepare and cook food for patients
• Ensure all diets are correctly and safely prepared
• Assist in planning menus and maintaining food inventories
• Participate in cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas
• Manage the storage and usage of leftover ingredients and products
• Provide customer service in a behavioral health setting

• Two years of cooking experience in large-scale food services or culinary operation
• Completion of course in large-scale cooking may be substituted for one year of experience
• One year as a Cook 1 in State service
