Responsibilities
- Conduct discharge review evaluations and write discharge review reports
- Possibly testify at court hearings, reviews, and trials
- Conduct psychological assessments and prepare comprehensive psychological assessment reports
- Provide consultation to treatment teams regarding discharge review reports
- Attend and participate in clinical and administrative supervision
- Complete all required documentation in accordance with facility policy and CMS requirements
- Attend continuing education presentations to enhance skills and maintain or attain competence in specific risk assessment tools
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in psychology, social work, behavioral health counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field
- Ability to obtain registration as an Agency Affiliated Counselor or other superseding credential
- Experience writing evaluations/assessments and experience conducting risk assessments focused on violence and sexual violence and recidivism
- Knowledge of behaviorism, cognitive and related therapies, and other clinical modalities
- Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation
- Knowledge of RTF, state, and federal regulatory standards, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge of mental illness and recovery principles
