About the role
Xbox Game Studios is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join the Studios Quality organization in a role focused on compliance, platforms, and accessibility.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and coach the members of an international team, empowering them to grow and advance in their careers
- Leverage the experience and deep knowledge of the team to support our partners, also working to grow a personal knowledge base in the team’s owned domains
- Maintain awareness of the broad portfolio and concurrent workstreams, guiding prioritization and ensuring expected coverage and support for all releases
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the capabilities of the team, including staying up to date on policies and procedures
- Manage comprehensive, consumable, and actionable reporting alongside robust tracking of all work to meet internal requirements
- Contribute to the overall Studios Quality team, sharing learnings, collaborating with peers, and guiding the organization in areas of the team’s ownership
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years software industry experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years software industry experience
- 2 years experience with people management and career mentorship
- Experience with Quality Engineering/Quality Assurance
- Proficiency or interest in accessibility, compliance, and multiple platforms
- Experience with multiple concurrent workstreams and/or products
- Experience with game development or other entertainment fields
- Familiarity with task management and reporting software (e.g. Azure DevOps, (ADO) and Power Business Intelligence (BI)
