Platform Integration Engineer

Sky’s Production Engineering team work to build, deploy and support solutions that create innovative video processing platforms for our internal customers. We are a multi-disciplinary team working across a platform running multiple workstreams. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Platform Integration Engineer. The successful candidate core role will be to deploy, integrate and develop solutions for our production platforms.

• Design solutions and workloads for MAM and PAM platforms, including integrations with cloud services, on-prem infrastructure, third-party systems and internal APIs.
• Collaborate with development teams and vendors to ensure integrations meet technical standards, performance benchmarks, and operational requirements.
• Work with Infrastructure to establish deployment pipelines for broadcast applications and services.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce time-to-market.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, collaborating with support teams for 3rd-line support, utilising advanced monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring robust platform availability and resilience

• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Concourse, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Coding skills preferably in Python.
• Expertise in IT, including Linux, databases, storage management, networks, and security principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a recognised proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Proven experience with version control systems like Git, and an understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating technical documentation and presenting to stakeholders.
• Experience with MAM/PAM systems, video & audio processing and streaming technologies.
