About the role
Join a leading Cancer and Infusion Center as a Travel Oncology Pharmacist. This role blends clinical expertise with research and education, supporting oncology patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient therapy for appropriateness, including age-specific adjustments and interventions to prevent adverse drug events.
- Conduct clinical research and professional development programs.
- Serve as a liaison across departments, providing operational and educational support for new treatment regimens.
- Oversee preparation of IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and sterile products; supervise pharmacy technicians.
- Maintain and manage medication inventory, develop/update departmental and nursing policies.
- Collaborate with the Oncology team to standardize ordering for chemotherapeutics.
Requirements
- 5+ years acute care clinical experience.
- Ability to mix compounds required.
- ASHP-accredited PGY1 Residency in Oncology strongly preferred.
- Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to work independently and supervise support staff.
- Must have own vehicle for travel.
