Extradition Manager

The Extradition Manager reports to the Statewide Operational Capacity and Transportation Administrator. The DOC HQ Transportation and Extradition Unit is part of the Prisons Division / Comprehensive Case Management and is responsible for the Intrastate and Interstate transportation of all incarcerated/supervised individuals to and from all DOC facilities, jails, and other secure holding facilities both within the State of Washington as well as across the U.S. and its territories, and on occasion, international extradition transportation.

• Manage the Extradition and Interstate Transportation System
• Ensure Extradition Program's compliance with the Department of Homeland Security and the Codes of Federal Regulations
• Serve as the Agency's point of Contact for all Extradition Matters
• Manage and Supervise Employees
• Perform Extradition and Transportation Duties
• Send Administrative messages and National Law Enforcement Telecommunications Systems (NLETS) requests

• A minimum of 5 years of professional corrections/criminal justice experience
• At least 5 years' experience working as a custody staff in a prison setting
• Prior experience working with WA DOC HQ Extraditions conducting armed Interstate extradition transports
• Professional experience with interpretation and application of DOC policies, applicable CBA's, Civil Service Rules, RCW's, WACs, CFR's, U.S.C. Title 18, and judicial procedures
