About the role
This recruitment is open on an internal-only basis to current State employees of the Washington Military Department. Reporting to the Maintenance Specialist 4 at Fairchild AFB, this position is responsible for performing journey-level electrical work required to accomplish all phases of building maintenance and construction work.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform skilled installation, maintenance and repair work on high and low voltage electrical equipment and systems carrying 751 volts or more
- Perform work on, operate and maintain construction tools and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance programs on transformers and switch gear
- Use standard practices and methods for ordering parts, work from blueprints, plans and sketches to obtain materials, tools and equipment of the electrical trade
Requirements
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as an electrician high voltage as attested by certified hours reported to Washington Department of Labor and Industries
- Full journey status as an electrician high voltage in a union
- Four years of applicable work experience
