About the role

UX Programs & Operations at Google drive projects within our UX organizations by increasing communication and connection points, streamlining the UX design process, and driving a culture of user centered development.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with UX leadership to define and deliver upon priorities
  • Author and drive progress based on a clear brief
  • Provide clear communication to cross-functional team leads and executive management regarding program health, resource requirements, issues, and priorities
  • Operate with an action bias, proactively identify issues and own the solutions that sustainably resolve them
  • Drive effective decision-making (including but not limited to: requirements gathering, planning, resource allocation, and launch approvals) and efficient progress
  • Partner with Technical Program Managers and Cross-functional counterparts, deliver work in a way that builds trust across teams such as Engineers and Product Managers, and across functions within UX

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of program management experience within design or UX organizations
  • Experience with UX related projects and UX design, user research, or user centered development tools and methodologies
  • Experience working in the Ads business or a policy/regulatory driven environment
  • Experience collaborating with executive UX, Product Managers and Engineers
  • Experience managing multi-faceted programs that span multiple surface teams or organizations
  • Experience working in changing or startup environments
  • Ability to understand the root causes of problems, to look for connections, and to trace cause and effect across an entire ecosystem and track record for a systems thinking mindset with a inherent
