RN - Nursing Supervisor

The Nursing Supervisor is a registered professional nurse who practices autonomously within the framework of hospital policy and procedure, professional nursing standards and Florida State Nurse Practice Act with the global shift responsibility for overseeing safe care to the adult, adolescent, pediatric, and infant patient care and patient related services for an assigned portion of the hospital.

• Reviews staffing and census of all nursing units to determine if staffing is consistent with the budget, staffing grids and patient needs.
• Adjusts staff as possible.
• Facilitates efficient patient admissions and patient flow.
• Makes frequent rounds throughout hospital to assess and resolve issues and incidents
• Available for consultation to the staff as needed.
• Promotes good interpersonal relations between all departments.

• Associate of Science degree in Nursing (ASN) or diploma in Nursing
• 2 years staff nurse experience
• Current valid State of Florida or multi-state license as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
