Teacher's Aide

A full-time paraprofessional position is available for a full semester contract in an elementary school setting located in Elkton, MD. This role involves supporting the speech-language pathologist in delivering direct assistance to students, focusing on an elementary caseload.

• Assisting the speech-language pathologist with intervention sessions tailored to individual student needs
• Implementing communication strategies and classroom activities under the guidance of the speech-language pathologist
• Supporting students during instructional and therapeutic sessions to enhance speech and language development
• Maintaining organized records of student progress and materials used in therapy
• Collaborating with teachers and other school staff to promote an inclusive learning environment

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, preferably in a school setting
• Familiarity with speech-language pathology practices and terminology
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow structured therapy plans
• Effective communication skills to interact with students, staff, and parents
• Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting student growth
