About the role
The Community Corrections Officer 2 (CCO2) REENTRY position is responsible for working with offenders to develop and implement plans for successful reentry into the community. The CCO2 will provide support and guidance to offenders as they transition back into their communities, and will collaborate with other agencies and organizations to ensure a smooth transition for offenders.
Responsibilities
- Work with offenders to develop and implement plans for successful reentry into the community
- Provide support and guidance to offenders as they transition back into their communities
- Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to ensure a smooth transition for offenders
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Conduct risk assessments and develop plans to mitigate risks
- Provide education and training to offenders on topics such as job skills, financial literacy, and health and wellness
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in corrections or a related field
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check
