Correctional Sergeant - SCCC

This position supports the Department's mission to improve public safety by supervising Corrections and Custody Officers and performing custody work

• Supervise Corrections and Custody Officers
• Maintain security of institution and control movement into, out of, and within the institution
• Ensure formal and informal counts
• Operate communication devices
• Maintain proper use, control, and accountability of keys, tools, and equipment

• High school diploma or equivalent AND three (3) or more years of experience as a Correctional Officer in adult corrections
• Two (2) years experience as a correctional officer in adult corrections AND successful completion of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours of accredited college-level course work
