Souscripteur Senior Marine H/F

The Senior Marine Underwriter will contribute to profitable growth and overall business results of the AIG France Marine portfolio, within the France/Belgium/Luxembourg cluster, with a specific focus and responsibility as lead underwriter on commodity business. The role will be based in Paris.

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts (in lead and follow capacity) within authority
• Determine the desirability of accepting or rejecting business in line with strategy, appetite and guidelines
• Carry out technical risk analysis
• Price exposures in accordance with pricing tools and guidelines
• Formulate appropriate contractual conditions and perform critical wording reviews
• Assess international risks and design/deploy multinational programmes as applicable
• Evaluate capacity aggregations including NatCat accumulations, taking into consideration catastrophe modelling data and analysis
• Proactively monitor business profitability and anticipate/execute effective policy renewal negotiations
• Collaborate with other departments (Claims, Distribution, Risk control, Operations, etc.) to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction while meeting business goals as well as governance and underwriting control objectives
• Cultivate strong relationships with brokers, clients and other key external stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for business development/marketing initiatives and contribute to the promotion of AIG
