Patient Transporter PRN

Responsible for facilitating the movement of patients and related items in a professional and customer service-oriented manner. This position ensures the efficient and safe transport of patients within the hospital by using the most expedient methods available to perform tasks.

The value you'll bring to the team: Maintains clear hallways by moving unused equipment to designated storage areas. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Ensures the proper handling and delivery of medical equipment and supplies. Participates in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge. Other duties as assigned. Assists in the safe transfers of patients from bed to stretcher or wheelchair. Facilitates the safe, efficient, and expedited movement of patients using stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, and cribs. Transports patient-related items such as belongings, paperwork, labs, and equipment efficiently. Accurately records transport details and reports necessary information using the Transportation system.

• Ability to understand customers needs and respond to them in a pro-active, courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
• Able to communicate in English using good diction, and respond to peoples needs in a pleasant and courteous manner as perceived by the customer, and as appropriate to adolescents, adult and geriatric patients.
• Ability to operate stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs.
