About the role
The Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) is looking for an Intake Specialist to assist the Quality Assurance Program Specialist by managing and administering the Integrated Developmental Evaluation & Assessment (IDEA) and the Sexually Aggressive Vulnerable Youth Assessment (SAVY), and the Sexual Orientation, Gender, Identity, and Expression assessment (SOGIE) within Echo Glen Children's Center.
Responsibilities
- Meet with youth face to face and conduct the IDEA assessment.
- Conduct SAVY and SOGIE assessments on all new intakes.
- Ensure assessment information is documented accurately and within the 72-hour time expectation.
Requirements
- Six years of experience in the juvenile justice or social service field providing therapeutic or rehabilitation services with clients from diverse backgrounds who have complex needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, Mental Health, Healthcare Administration or a related field AND two years of experience in the juvenile justice or social service field providing therapeutic or rehabilitation services with clients from diverse backgrounds who have complex needs.
- Associates degree in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, Mental Health, Healthcare Administration or a related field AND four years of experience in the juvenile justice or social service field providing therapeutic or rehabilitation services with clients from diverse backgrounds who have complex needs.
