Responsibilities

  • Enforce the Wage Payment Act, RCW 49-48, Industrial Welfare Act, RCW 49.12, WAC’s 296-125; 296-126; and 296-128; the Minimum Wage Act-RCW 49.46, and Child Labor Laws.
  • Investigate wage disputes, as well as mediate and negotiate settlements between employers and employees.

Requirements

  • A combined total of five years of education and/or experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas to reach a total of five years: Industrial Relations Agent, Explanation, interpretation, understanding, and enforcement of rules and regulations regarding RCWs, WACs.
