Responsibilities
- Manage all boards, councils, committees, related subcommittees, and workgroups
- Develop annual work plans and ensure agenda items are well planned
- Assist with policy initiatives that include complex content, timelines, and communicating with key partners
- Develop, revise, implement, interpret, and administer governance program-specific policies, procedures, practices, and set standards
- Serve as administrative liaison for communication with the boards, councils, and committee membership and related workgroup meetings
- Develop road maps for planned governance activities for each governing body
- Arrange logistics and details for meetings and policy staff projects
Requirements
- Seven years of experience in board support, project management, meeting coordination, and administrative work
- Basic knowledge of policy and procedure development
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Ability to multitask, coordinating multiple projects or tasks at one time, and effectively prioritize among tasks
- Advanced skills and experience in the use of all Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio) and Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent communication and relationship development skills to effectively work with staff members of all levels, and with board members, customers, and other interested parties
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with a wide variety of people with competing and diverse interests
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
