About the role

Job Summary: The Human Resources (HR) Strategy Consultant supports our Purpose by working directly with internal Customers within our People, Learning, and Development (PLD) Department, analyzing and planning business strategy, and advising Customers on business, organization, and technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Leadership, senior Team members, and Department SMEs to support various activities required in the ongoing development of the Company and Department strategic plans, associated portfolio, and implementation of strategic and transformative initiatives.
  • Perform quantitative analyses, prepare presentation materials, interact with internal clients, and work to determine insights related to their part of the broader project.
  • Collaboratively engage with numerous peers and Leaders across the Company to drive innovation, gather qualitative input, research relevant hypotheses, source data, etc. then synthesize quantitative and qualitative analyses into insights and perspectives, particularly within assigned projects or initiatives.
  • Document findings and work with project Teams/Leaders to draft slides or other media to communicate insights findings/recommendations from research, project or analysis work.
  • Builds and maintains relationships in order to identify and contact potential internal Customers for new project engagements.
  • Maintain frequent Customer communication, meet regularly with Customers and ensure Customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct meetings with Customers and Leaders to determine project scope, budget, and timelines – negotiate project terms and conditions (charter) with Customers as needed and as appropriate for portfolio.
  • Develop business assessments, proposals, plans, and other reports when required – maintain library of documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.
  • Identify and track project risks and challenges and develop resolution plans communicated through portfolio governance channels.
  • Provide project trainings/knowledge transfer to Customers and Business Owners as needed.
  • Plan and manage multiple projects in portfolio effectively (when needed).
  • Track project progress, report status through established channels and identify and correct any delays.
  • Support Sr. Consultants on the team with project work (as necessary).
  • Design and deliver workshops to accelerate project decisions and Leadership alignment (as necessary).
  • Drive solutions within a Team/group without being a subject matter expert – utilize facilitation skills as necessary.

Requirements

  • Skilled in developing materials in PowerPoint and using PowerPoint as a mechanism for communication; Familiar with other tools such as: Word, Excel, Canva and Visio.
  • Ability to collect, organize, and visualize data and research into project findings and recommendations – collect and synthesize qualitative data into meaningful insights and storytelling alongside quantitative analysis.
  • Skilled in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions and recommendations that Stakeholders agree on.
  • Skilled in bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences (when necessary).
  • Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Pose questions and offer perspectives to project Team members and Leadership to help develop the overall project solution and associated recommendations.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategy, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources and coordination of people and resources
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for human resources, training and development, and total rewards.
  • Skilled in identifying and breaking down complex problems and determining creative ways to solve a problem.
  • Ability to recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and create and action plan to do something about it.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
