About the role
The Partner Development Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving long-term strategic initiatives with Accenture and Avanade.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain trusted-advisor relationships with C-suite leaders at Accenture and Avanade to drive strategic alignment and security-led growth.
- Lead the development and execution of security-focused account plans aligned to Microsoft’s priorities, including Zero Trust, threat protection, and compliance.
- Drive partner transformation through monthly and quarterly business reviews (MBRs/QBRs), tracking execution, identifying gaps, and resolving blockers.
- Architect and execute Go-to-Market (GTM) and co-sell strategies for security solutions, ensuring readiness and launch excellence across campaigns and incentives.
- Lead partner capability and capacity planning with a focus on building security Centers of Excellence and skilling programs.
- Influence partner investment in world-class security teams, ensuring talent is enabled and incentivized to drive sales and consumption.
- Monitor and guide partner pipeline, top deals, and consumption targets, especially for Microsoft Security Copilot, Defender, Sentinel, and Purview.
- Resolve complex and urgent escalations related to security and compliance, acting as the escalation point for Global Systems Integrators (GSI) partners.
- Evaluate partner portfolio to identify gaps and propose security solutions to expand offerings and market impact.
- Lead strategic business design briefings to optimize mutual success and advise on building high-impact Microsoft security practices.
- Develop and maintain long-range strategic vision rooted in partner impact across segments, with deep understanding of industry and competitive landscape.
- Champion Microsoft’s value proposition in security through executive roundtables, storytelling, and alignment with partner business goals.
- Drive partner digital transformation by integrating Microsoft’s sales and delivery methodology and removing blockers to accelerate pipeline.
- Lead internal orchestration across Microsoft teams to support partner success and advocate for partner priorities and experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Operations, Computer Science or a related field AND 8+ years experience in partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience
- OR equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in selling security solutions or products
- Other Requirements
- Microsoft is unable to sponsor a work visa for this role due to the nature of the role’s job duties
- Additional or preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Business Science, or an advanced degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or a related field AND 10+ years experience in partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience
