About the role
An elementary school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. The ideal consultant will be passionate about making a positive impact in the educational setting. A strong background in applying the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis is needed. No prior school experience is necessary. A Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field is acceptable. An active certification through the BACB is required. Newly certified BCBA candidates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and school staff to implement effective behavioral strategies
- Train school personnel on ABA principles, data collection, and behavior plan implementation
- Monitor and analyze behavioral data to evaluate student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and ensure all behavioral supports are compliant with IDEA and district policies
- Work closely with families and caregivers to promote generalization of skills across home and school settings
- Provide consultation and coaching to support positive behavioral outcomes and student inclusion
Requirements
