About the role

The Sr. Project Architect plans and implements the architectural design of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • The Sr. Project Architect plans and implements the architectural design of the facility.
  • Consult with leadership to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structures or renovations.
  • Prepare information regarding design, specifications, materials, equipment costs, and construction time.
  • Negotiate architectural, engineering, and interior design fees and maintains hospital design standards.
  • Manage the work of consultants, vendors, external architects, engineers, and equipment suppliers.
  • Research, plan, design, and maintain code compliance on building projects.
  • Participate in regulatory surveys.
  • Maintain resources and processes.
  • Review technical documents including drawings and specifications for correct implementation of standards and to develop high performance design.
  • Support development and maintains systemwide interior design standards including finishes and furniture.
  • Provide project team support for systemwide participation in group purchasing.
  • Research and recommend products and technical data in support of the sustainable energy performance goals and facilities maintenance requirements.
  • Actively research and study new developments in healthcare facilities for possible incorporation within the organization.

Requirements

  • Licensed Architect obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Architect
  • Experience overseeing mid-size and large projects from start to finish
  • Experience with Project Management
  • Experience with Construction Administration
  • Proficiency in Autocad, Revit, Sketchup, Adobe suite, Bluebeam, and rendering capabilities
  • Previous healthcare experience is strongly preferred
