Patient Accounts Specialist

The Patient Accounts Specialist is responsible for duties specific to the assigned department that supports the functions of the Revenue Cycle for AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.

• Assist in meeting departmental goals in accordance to the hospital strategic plan.
• Patient Accounts Specialist will foster a patient-focused environment in the department; maintaining acceptable standards of service and assisting in creating a vision for the area which reflects the vision and values of Advent Health Shawnee Mission.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time
• Medical terminology knowledge – preferred
• Experience in a Patient Access setting or as a patient accounts specialist – preferred
