About the role
Reporting to the Practice Manager and under the supervision of the Providers, the Medical Assistant cares for patients and performs a wide variety of patient care activities.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Practice Manager and under the supervision of the Providers, the Medical Assistant cares for patients and performs a wide variety of patient care activities.
- Adheres to state, federal and organizational guidelines to ensure quality care and patient safety with support from the Clinical Excellence team.
- Is essential in maintaining organization and facilitating patient flow.
- Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications: High School Grad or Equiv
- 1 year of related work experience OR
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with completion of externship OR
- 6 months relevant experience within an AdventHealth facility
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or
- American Medical Technologists (AMT) or
- NAHP Nat'l Reg Cert Med Asst (NAHPCMA) or
- National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or
