About the role
An opportunity is available for a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to contribute expertise in a hybrid operating room setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms before and after procedures, ensuring all supplies are stocked and environments are sanitized.
- Verify patient identity according to established safety standards and review patient history to provide thorough education about the exam.
- Administer contrast agents under physician direction following standard operating procedures.
- Conduct pain assessments and take appropriate measures as needed.
- Accurately code procedures using CPT standards and complete physician fee slips within electronic health record and imaging systems.
- Support department functions through additional duties as assigned to meet organizational needs.
Requirements
- Valid North Dakota Medical Imaging License issued by the state regulatory board.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association.
- Strong understanding of interventional radiology procedures and patient safety protocols.
- Experience with medical coding, particularly CPT, and proficiency with electronic systems such as Epic and PACS.
