Special Education Teacher - Plainfield, IL

A Middle School Special Education Co-teacher position is available for the upcoming school year, running from November through February. This role is based in Plainfield, IL, and focuses on supporting students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative co-teaching environment.

• Collaborating with general education teachers to deliver differentiated instruction
• Implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and modifying lessons
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation
• Providing behavioral support and fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Participating in team meetings and communicating effectively with parents, staff, and administration

• Valid certification in Special Education
• Experience working with middle school students in inclusive settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and assessment tools
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and adapt instruction for a wide range of learner needs
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
