About the role
Join a collaborative oncology team as a Traveling Oncology Pharmacist supporting cancer treatment and infusion services.
Responsibilities
- Assess therapy appropriateness, incorporating age-specific modifications.
- Provide clinical interventions and reduce adverse drug events.
- Conduct clinical research and educational programs.
- Oversee chemotherapy preparation and sterile product compounding.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, maintain inventory, and update policies.
- Standardize chemotherapeutic ordering processes with the Oncology team.
Requirements
- 5+ years acute care clinical experience.
- Ability to mix compounds.
- Strong preference for ASHP PGY1 Oncology Residency and BCOP certification.
- Independent and capable of supervising support staff.
- Own vehicle for travel is a must.
