About the role

The Office of the Insurance Commissioner seeks a qualified individual for the Administrative Assistant 4 position

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support
  • Serve as liaison between the Deputy Commissioner and division staff
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner
  • Research and interpret policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Maintain division records
  • Coordinate investigations and responses to complex internal and external issues
  • Manage the division's record retention and destruction schedules
  • Prepare reports on division performance
  • Support the division's strategic planning process
  • Oversee division purchasing and supply management
  • Act as travel coordinator for division staff
  • Coordinate and respond to public disclosure requests
  • Maintain up-to-date desk manuals and ensure procedural continuity
  • Provide administrative support to the Manager of the Producer Licensing & Oversight Program

Requirements

  • High school graduation or GED
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work
