About the role
Responsible for the collaborative approach and implementation of an entity specific facility-wide infection prevention and control program. Reports to the entity Director of Quality and Patient Safety Officer.
Responsibilities
- Plans, develops, implements, administers, and evaluates the Annual Infection Prevention Plan and programs for entity.
- Ensures all regulatory requirements are continually complied with including the public reporting of hospital acquired infections, reportable diseases, and other data as requested.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates annual entity Infection Prevention Risk assessments
- then facilitates the setting, prioritizing, meeting, and evaluating of aligned infection prevention specific goals.
- Maintains Hand Hygiene Compliance as a top Infection Prevention goal for the entity with monthly reports to the entity Board through the Quality Reporting Structure.
- Facilitates and/or supports initiatives to reduce and prevent healthcare-acquired and community-acquired infection.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in healthcare-related field
- 3 years of clinical or related experience
