TSD Field Services System Administrator - Journey | Work that Matters
Responsibilities
- Manage and secure the 4,000+ agency mobile devices deployed across WSDOT
 - Work closely with stakeholders, agency infrastructure staff and mobile device vendors to ensure seamless integration into WSDOT and vendor environments
 - Serve as a statewide technical resource on mobile device management support issues
 - Configure, maintain, and administer print, licensing, and business unit sponsored servers and services for the headquarters region
 - Be responsible for identifying root cause of support issues, analyzing data, and forming solutions to maximize efficiencies, minimize costs, and maintain high satisfaction
 - Receive unresolved support issues from lower level technicians; diagnoses application, hardware, and software conflicts
 - Administer the release of system updates, security patches, drivers and firmware deployments to ensure security compliance for all end user computing systems across Headquarters
 - Manage organization owned client devices using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) environment
 - Monitor, maintain, and support WSDOT workstations and mobile devices
 - Install, maintain, and resolve hardware and software problems by replacing components, using specialized technical tools and test equipment to diagnose and resolve faults
 
Requirements
- Nine (9) years of full-time IT experience working in a customer serviced-focused technology organization in varied IT disciplines
 - An associate’s degree in computer science or closely related field and seven (7) years of full-time IT experience working in varied IT disciplines
 - A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or Software Development, or related field and five (5) years of full-time IT experience working in varied IT disciplines
 - Four (4) years of experience supporting and administering MDM and EMM solutions
 - Four (4) years of experience providing technical consulting and installation of IT hardware and software across a large (2000+ users) computing environment
 - Experience effectively communicating and assisting a diverse set of information technology peers
 - Experience providing high level technical consulting and performing systems administration of a large (500+ users) computing environment
 - The ability to respond to emergency outages, sometimes during inclement weather events or other catastrophic incidents
 - The ability to transport various pieces of computer-related equipment that may weigh up to 50 pounds
 - Knowledge of Microsoft Intune Endpoint EMM Server
 - Mobile device management technologies, solutions, and support
 - IT Service/Asset Management (ITSM/ITAM) solution administration and configuration
 - Desktop computer hardware, software, architecture, and operational theory
 - Microsoft Operating systems, applications, management, and technical tools
 - Microsoft active directory, software configuration manager, and Intune advanced knowledge
 - Networked computing environment and infrastructure
 - Imaging, group policies, and task sequence
 - Asset Management - Judicious use of funds and strategic asset planning to assure a highly available and robust IT environment in support of business operations
 - Service Management - Assures IT goods, services, and systems are delivered and supported as expected, or contracted
