Special Education Teacher

An exciting opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a Detroit, MI school setting. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the educational development of students with special needs during the current school year.

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with disabilities
• Deliver specialized instruction using appropriate teaching methods and materials
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth

• Valid teaching certification with a focus on Special Education
• Experience working with K-12 students in inclusive or specialized settings
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
