Special Education Teacher

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support high school students in Phoenix, AZ, on a contract basis for the current school year. This role focuses on providing tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs, working collaboratively with educators and families to foster academic growth and personal development.

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.
• Adapt instructional methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, maintaining detailed records and reports.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistent support.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing training.

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with high school students in a special education setting.
• Strong understanding of state and federal regulations related to special education.
• Ability to design and adapt curriculum for diverse learning needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, and commitment to student success.
