About the role
The Director of the Office of Racial Equity & Social Justice (RESJ) plays a critical leadership role in advancing DCYF’s mission by providing strategic guidance and expert recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team and staff on issues related to racial equity and social justice.
Responsibilities
- Advising executive leadership on RESJ strategies and priorities.
- Leading the development of systems that support agency-wide equity efforts.
- Collaborating with DCYF divisions to align equity practices with state and federal mandates.
- Driving initiatives aimed at reducing racial disproportionalities in agency outcomes.
- Ensuring all staff have access to tools, training, and support necessary to implement equitable policies and practices.
Requirements
- Eight (8) years demonstrated experience related to strategic planning and management of programs in state government or medium to large-scale organization.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with a major study in social sciences, social work, education, multi-cultural studies, public administration, or related field AND five (5) years demonstrated experience related to strategic planning and management of programs in state government or medium to large-scale organization;
