L&I Electrical Construction Inspector 1

Become a Labor & Industries Electrical Construction Inspector 1 and start making a difference by providing safety inspections of electrical installations!

• Provide safety inspections of electrical installations
• Help establish a level playing field for honest contractors
• Conduct field investigations and compile investigation reports
• Issue citations for non-compliance
• Maintain good relations with contractors, architects, engineers, electric utilities and private parties

• A valid Washington General Journey Level Electrician (EL01) license and/or certificate issued by the Department of Labor and Industries
• Four years’ experience as journey level electrician in the electrical construction trade installing and maintaining electrical wiring and equipment
• Four of the last 8 years of work experience engaged in the electrical construction industry working on new installations installing NEC compliant wiring methods
