About the role
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support elementary students in a school setting located in Niceville, FL.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students with diverse communication needs
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students’ specific needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Requirements
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with school-age children, particularly in an elementary school environment
- Knowledge of current best practices and evidence-based treatment methods in speech-language pathology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration
- Ability to manage caseload independently and maintain organized records
