Special Education Teacher

A full-time special education teaching position is available now at an elementary school in New Haven, CT, offering a contract assignment spanning from October 30, 2025, through February 9, 2026.

• Delivering individualized instruction and support aligned with students’ IEPs in a resource setting.
• Collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff to optimize educational outcomes.
• Monitoring and documenting student progress, adapting strategies to meet evolving needs.
• Participating in team meetings and parent communication to foster a supportive learning environment.

• Active Special Education certification required.
• Active DSAP (Durational Shortage Area Permit) required.
• Experience working in an elementary school setting, preferably with resource caseloads.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, strategies, and team collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple student needs within the classroom effectively.
