About the role
Under the direct supervision of the Director of FANS, provides supervision at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center and Oceanside Hospitals to ensure overall customer satisfaction with Retail and Patient food services. Responsible for the supervision of staff and ensuring a clean and sanitary kitchens and cafes for patients, visitors and staff.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, supervises, coordinates and controls the operational activities of the Food and Nutritional Services Department, to include staffing, creating schedules and ensuring productivity standards are met.
- Supports the Executive Chef to oversee the purchasing, storing, receiving, and issuing of food and supplies.
- Supervises food preparation by staff and proper presentation of foods in conjunction with the Chef Manager.
- Oversees point of service (CBORD) purchasing system.
- Responsible for high standards of sanitation in the department.
- Ensures compliance with all staff. Ensures the orientation, ongoing education, and department policy and procedure compliance of all Food Service employees.
Requirements
- Associate's degree, or equivalent years of related experience required
- Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Preferred
- 5 institutional food service management experience (required) in an acute care hospital or health care institution
