Assistant Director, Medical-Surgical

An Assistant Director who excels in this role: Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

• Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives
• Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management
• Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations
• Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases
• Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments

• Current RN License in the state of Tennessee
• Basic Life Support certification at the time of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
