About the role
Responsible for defining report and dashboard requirements for individual subject areas; develops, designs, builds and tests reports and dashboards for business unit and enterprise programs. Works cross-functionally to collect data and build solutions that drive action and clarity of business performance. Infers trends from a variety of data sources and confidently delivers their interpretation and solutions; makes recommendations to executives. Employs advanced data visualization methods to present information in a concise and impactful manner. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage business intelligence visualizations that clearly communicate the status of the Universal Ads business
- Ensure dashboards feature visualizations which clearly illustrate takeaways from underlying dataset
- Continually iterate on dashboards and visualizations by closely collaborating with internal stakeholders and thinking creatively
- Be a storyteller: ensure that all work seeks to explain how the business is doing, by working across a variety of datasets that highlights performance on revenue, measurement, retention, and other business KPIs
- Help own the long-term roadmap of our BI tooling including the development of a user-friendly UI that houses a variety of datasets
- Creates dashboards and reports based on the needs of end users
- Incorporates end user requests and requirements to develop an enterprise reporting solution
- Requires knowledge of SQL programming, reporting platforms, and/or tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
- Supports the user community in the training and use of business intelligence tools to query tables and databases for self-service analytics
- Optimizes queries and reports to improve performance, making changes as needed
- Helps to create innovative (Proof of Concept) measurement solutions, tracks client adoption, and works with internal product teams on automation and productization
- Works cross-collaboratively with other analysts or stakeholders to cultivate powerful visual storytelling throughout the organization
- Identifies current measurement gaps and defines business requirements for solutions needed but not yet supported
- Participates in the design and development of the system, as well as creation of user documentation
- Keeps abreast of strategies, trends, initiatives, and best practices within the Company and competitive landscape
- Mentors other analyst on development best practices to elevate overall quality of solutions
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary
