Retail Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

A well-established independent retail pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Supervising Pharmacist/Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to take full ownership of daily operations.

• Maintain proper records related to purchase and dispensing of prescription medications, including controlled substances
• Remove misbranded, adulterated, outdated, or improperly labeled drugs
• Ensure proper storage to prevent loss or deterioration of drugs
• Guarantee pharmacy coverage by licensed pharmacists and enforce security measures to prevent unauthorized access or refills
• Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
• Supervise dispensing, sale, and compounding activities
• Train and instruct pharmacy staff on pharmacy practices and legal requirements
• Ensure the pharmacy holds proper registrations, including wholesaler licenses when applicable

• PharmD or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited program
• Active New York Pharmacist License
• Immunization certification
• Experience in retail or independent pharmacy preferred
• Familiarity with MicroMerchant/PrimeRx systems a plus
• Fluency in English required; Mandarin fluency advantageous
