About the role
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in an educational setting. This position focuses on providing tailored instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities, facilitating their academic and social development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams.
- Adapt general education curriculum to accommodate students' learning requirements.
- Monitor and document student progress through assessments and observations.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to support positive student behavior.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with middle school-aged students.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and IEP development.
