Data Science Intern in Remote, | Administrative Support

The Ascension Data Science Institute (ADSI) Internship Program is designed to provide an on-the-job learning opportunity aimed at gaining “real world” work experience in a large healthcare environment, supporting leadership with data driven insights that deliver value to those we serve.

• Design and construct new prototypes using algorithms, predictive models, and custom analysis.
• Work with department leaders and team mentors to develop project plans and timelines.
• Gain experience manipulating and validating data from multiple sources.
• Analyze data bringing your own curiosity and expertise to meet project objectives and deliver additional insights.
• Present final project to team members, data science leadership and potentially clinical stakeholders.

• High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.
• Strong technical skills, specifically in writing queries, manipulating data and visualizing data.
• Demonstrated ability to find patterns and provide insights in underlying data.
• Deals well with ambiguity and “start-up” environments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python) and database languages (e.g., SQL).
