About the role
The Legal Office Assistant will provide general clerical support and some legal assistance to the Juvenile Litigation section. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Processing incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail; Performing data entry; Preparing and submitting payment vouchers; Requesting certified court orders; Preparing and filing court pleadings and calendaring court dates; Handling in-person filing and mail deliveries as requested by attorneys or paralegals; Providing limited support to paralegals in retrieving weekly court orders; Archiving both physical and electronic files.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and two years of clerical experience including a minimum of six months of experience in a legal office environment.
- One year of legal office experience.
- A combination of two years of college education and/or relevant experience.
- A two-year degree in Legal Secretary Studies, Paralegal studies or related field of study.
