Surgical Aide

The Surgical Assistant II (SAII) works under supervision of the professional nurse, assisting in performing specific duties and activities for surgical patients of all age groups.

• Assisting in performing specific duties and activities for surgical patients of all age groups
• Applying knowledge of aseptic technique and basic supplies and equipment utilized for surgical procedures
• Ensuring safe transport, transfer, and positioning of patients utilizing good body mechanics
• Maintaining patient privacy and dignity at all times
• Participating in the preparation of the patient for procedures as directed by RN

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• BLS (Preferred)
