Teacher of Visually Impaired

A K-12 school in Edgar, WI is seeking a qualified teacher specialized in serving students who are visually impaired. This contract position is for the current school year (CSY) and offers an opportunity to support a diverse range of learners in an educational setting.

• Provide specialized instruction and support for students with visual impairments across grades K-12.
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to integrate accommodations and modifications.
• Utilize assistive technology and adaptive teaching methods to promote independence and academic success.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and school administration.

• Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired or equivalent credentials.
• Experience working with visually impaired students across various grade levels.
• Strong knowledge of Braille and other adaptive learning tools.
• Ability to assess student needs and implement effective instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
