About the role

Responsibilities
- Conduct full psychoeducational assessments including cognitive, achievement, and behavioral measures
- Complete bilingual evaluations for Spanish-speaking students when appropriate
- Write detailed reports interpreting assessment results and making educational recommendations
- Attend virtual IEP meetings and collaborate with special education teams
- Provide short-term counseling for students experiencing academic, social, or emotional difficulties
- Consult with educators on classroom management, instructional strategies, and student support
- Assist in developing and monitoring Response to Intervention (RTI) and behavioral intervention plans
- Offer crisis response services and mental health support as situations arise
- Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking parents regarding their child's needs and services
- Maintain ethical standards and confidentiality in all professional interactions
Requirements
- Current New Mexico Level III School Psychologist licensure
- Fluency in English and Spanish across all communication domains
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology combined with at least 2 years of school-based experience
- Cultural competence in working with Hispanic/Latino communities
- Experience with virtual assessment administration and telepsychology practices is advantageous
