Responsibilities
- Review and verify offender sentence structure and criminal history information
- Ensure contents of offender records are legal, accurate and maintained in a secure setting
- Review and verify accuracy of legal documents relating to convictions and sentencing
- Verify electronic data base information against source documents and resolve problems
- Maintain electronic and physical files for the Youthful Offender Program and Interstate Compact Inmate caseloads
- Utilize, update and maintain databases and programs containing information relative to Offenders conviction, sentence and violation history
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year experience maintaining or processing incarcerated individual files electronically or in hard copy
- Professional working experience with the interpretation of records-related documents and determining action to be taken
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, the public, and/or criminal justice agencies
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems under highly stressful or adverse situations
