Responsibilities

  • Review and verify offender sentence structure and criminal history information
  • Ensure contents of offender records are legal, accurate and maintained in a secure setting
  • Review and verify accuracy of legal documents relating to convictions and sentencing
  • Verify electronic data base information against source documents and resolve problems
  • Maintain electronic and physical files for the Youthful Offender Program and Interstate Compact Inmate caseloads
  • Utilize, update and maintain databases and programs containing information relative to Offenders conviction, sentence and violation history

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year experience maintaining or processing incarcerated individual files electronically or in hard copy
  • Professional working experience with the interpretation of records-related documents and determining action to be taken
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, the public, and/or criminal justice agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems under highly stressful or adverse situations
