CDI Manager West Division

The Clinical Documentation Department Manager is a Registered Nurse and/or a Registered Health Information Administrator with a high level of clinical proficiency necessary for the oversight of the Clinical Documentation team

• Maintains knowledge of all federal, state, and local documentation guidelines and communicates changes to all CDI staff
• Audits documentation quality to support accurate statistics and reimbursement for all regional acute care facilities and LTAC
• Supports the hospitals' quality operating systems by generating and analyzing data and reports to identify opportunities for continuous growth and improvement
• Develops and monitors implementation of market departmental goals/objectives
• Monitors CDI computer applications and performs quarterly testing updates as needed (Iodine/Cerner/EPIC)
• Chairs facility-based CDI Steering Committee and Documentation Improvement meetings and provides presentation for physician education collaboration with Physician Liaison
• Provides training for front line staff to ensure expected outcomes and provide site- based understanding of documentation improvement and any applicable updates to regulatory guidelines within the coding team

• Bachelor's in Nursing, Healthcare, or related field or Associate of Science in Nursing Required
• Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) Required and
• Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Required or
• Physician Assistant (PA) Required or
• Registered Nurse (RN) Required or
• APRN Nurse Practitioner (APRNNP) Required
