About the role
A contract position is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services at a middle school located in Aurora, CO. This role is ideal for professionals holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology and with prior experience supporting students in school settings. The contract spans the current school year (CSY) and focuses on delivering tailored speech and language interventions to middle school students.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments for middle school students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' educational needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication goals.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy as necessary.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development.
Requirements
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) from ASHA preferred.
- Experience working in school environments, especially with middle school-aged students.
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
