About the role

Patient Registration Specialist at CommonSpirit Health

Responsibilities

  • Determining in-patient liability and arrangements for payment
  • Ensuring that all assigned patients obtain financial clearance for services
  • Interviewing patients to address all missing information and outstanding patient liabilities
  • Identifying patients who may be eligible for government program assistance and refers, as appropriate, for completion of applications
  • Assisting patients with Dignity Health’s Payment Assistance Program, provides applications, and, where necessary, assists in the completion of that application
  • Calculating patient liabilities, makes payment arrangements and collects monies from patients

Requirements

  • Two (2) years experience in a hospital Patient Registration department, Physician office setting, health insurance company, revenue cycle vendor, and/or revenue cycle related role
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in healthcare
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
